The New Hampshire Vacation Rental and Tourism Association was born when a group of vacation rental owners and operators came together to talk about a growing problem: local regulations that were hurting both tourism and our communities.
Too often, we saw taxpayer-funded attorneys facing off against taxpayer-funded attorneys in court over rules that should never have been written in the first place. If owners had been consulted from the start, many of these issues could have been solved with win-win solutions — protecting neighborhoods while allowing tourism to thrive.
The need for a unified voice quickly became clear. The NHVRTA was formed to be that voice — to bring property owners, hosts, and tourism partners together, to work constructively with policymakers, and to ensure that New Hampshire’s tourism economy remains strong, sustainable, and welcoming for all.
We believe in building bridges — between towns and the tourism industry, and between long-time hosts and those just starting out. By sharing knowledge, best practices, and resources, we can raise the standards of hospitality across the state and ensure that visitors experience the very best of New Hampshire.
When tourism thrives, communities win. And when communities win, everyone benefits — visitors, residents, and the future of our great state.
